ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1013

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon approximately 230 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer line and easement and to accept approximately 1,215 linear feet of eight inch PVC sanitary sewer and approximately 1,074 linear feet of eight inch DIP water main and approximately 369 linear feet of four inch water main for properties located at 1804 and 1808 Graybar Lane, 3505 Hopkins Street, and 1919 and 1921 Woodmont Boulevard (MWS Project Nos. 14-WL-48 and 14-SL-49 and Proposal No. 2014M-079ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 230 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer line and easement and acceptance of approximately 1,215 linear feet of eight inch PVC sanitary sewer and approximately 1,074 linear feet of eight inch DIP water main and approximately 369 linear feet of four inch water main for properties located at 1804 and 1808 Graybar Lane, 3505 Hopkins Street, and 1919 and 1921 Woodmont Boulevard, are needed to construct MWS project numbers 14-WL-48 and 14-SL-49; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2014M-079ES-001 on November 25, 2014, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, sewer lines and easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 230 linear feet of eight inch sanitary sewer line and easement and to accept approximately 1,215 linear feet of eight inch PVC sanitary sewer and approximately 1,074 linear feet of eight inch DIP water main and approximately 369 linear feet of four inch water main for properties located at 1804 and 1808 Graybar Lane, 3505 Hopkins Street, and 1919 and 1921 Woodmont Boulevard, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
