ORDINANCE NO. BL2014-782

An ordinance approving an agreement between Vanderbilt University, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, to establish a research relationship.

WHEREAS, the agreement between Vanderbilt University and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, attached hereto and incorporated herein, establishes a research relationship related to the justice system’s response to crime and victims; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the agreement by and between Vanderbilt University, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, establishing a research relationship, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
