ORDINANCE NO. BL2014-700

An ordinance approving a Lease Agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Fire Department, and Southern Land Commercial Construction, LLC (Proposal No. 2014M-001PR-001).

WHEREAS, Southern Land Commercial Construction, LLC desires to lease from The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County a small portion of the real property commonly known as Fire Station No. 20 located at 2025 Richard Jones Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37215, for use as a Construction/Storage Office; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County desires to lease the property to Southern Land Commercial Construction, LLC for the desired use, such use being in the best interest of the community; and,

WHEREAS, the small portion of the real property is not needed at the present time for use by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Fire Department, and Southern Land Commercial Construction, LLC which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference, is hereby approved.

Section 2. Any amendment, change, or extension to the lease shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
