ORDINANCE NO. BL2014-686

An ordinance approving the transfer of certain properties held by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, (Parcels 39 and 50, Map 93-7) for the construction of the West Riverfront Park improvements and amphitheater (2014M-005PR-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency owns certain properties located between the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and the Korean Veterans Blvd Bridge (Map 93-7, Parcels 39 and 50); and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government has begun design of an amphitheater and park on this property in accordance with the West Riverfront Park Plan; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency has approved the transfer of this property to the Metropolitan Government at no cost for construction of the amphitheater; and,

WHEREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of the West Riverfront Park improvements and amphitheater.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Property, or his designee, is authorized to accept from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency the real property known as Map & Parcel
09307003900, and 09307005000.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
