ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-632
An ordinance accepting the donation of three Tennessee Walking Horses, “Buck Pass,” “Magic’s Gold Generator (Cash),” and “Snow Rose (Boo),” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
WHEREAS, Linda Foust Grajewski wishes to donate “Buck Pass” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, James R. Jackson Jr., on behalf of Stone Wall Investments, wishes to donate “Magic’s Gold Generator (Cash)” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Gary Smith and Tony Mercer wish to donate “Snow Rose (Boo)” to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, copies of the agreements regarding such donations are attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these donations be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the donation of three Tennessee Walking Horses, “Buck Pass,” “Magic’s Gold Generator (Cash),” and “Snow Rose (Boo),” to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreements attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same, and the Police Department is authorized to accept the horses for its use and benefit.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
