ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-596

An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Property, or his designee, to accept, execute and record a deed from Wilson Bank and Trust to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for certain parcel of property (known as Map 062-01 Parcel 17), for use as part of the Cumberland River Greenway system (Proposal No.2013M-042PR-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government owns and operates a system of parks; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the special warranty deed attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A and incorporated herein, Wilson Bank & Trust proposes to donate real property in Davidson County (the "Property") to the Metropolitan Government for use as part of the parks system; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Parks and Recreation has approved acceptance of the property donation; and,

WHEREAS, acceptance of the donation of the Property will benefit the citizens of Davidson County by enhancing the quality and availability of recreational opportunities in Davidson County;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Property, or his designee, is hereby authorized to accept, and record a special warranty deed from Wilson Bank & Trust substantially in the form of Exhibit A, attached hereto, for use as part of the parks system.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
