ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-592

An Ordinance amending Section 7.08.140 of the Metropolitan Code to allow weekend beer deliveries for special events.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 7.08.140 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by deleting the first sentence of subsection O. in its entirety and substituting with the following new first sentence:

“For any wholesaler or manufacturer to sell or deliver beer, or use, operate or cause to be operated any vehicle carrying beer, within the metropolitan government area after eleven p.m. or before four a.m., Monday through Friday, or at any time between nine p.m. on Friday and six a.m. on Monday unless the beer is being delivered to a special event for which a special event permit has been issued under Chapter 2.62 of the Metropolitan Code.”

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
