ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-554

An ordinance declaring surplus and approving the disposition of a certain parcel of real property located at 222 Third Avenue North, commonly known as the 222 Building ( Proposal No. 2013M-034PR-001 ).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government owns a certain parcel of real property located at 222 Third Avenue North, and commonly referred to as the “222 Building”; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government has determined that this certain parcel of property is no longer needed for governmental purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY;

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council declares the following parcel of land and improvements, owned in fee simple by the Metropolitan Government and described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein, to be surplus.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus property.

Section 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel of property shall be credited to the General Fund of the district from whose operating budget the last department, commission, board or agency using the real property is financed.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
