ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-527

An ordinance approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Concentra Health Services, Inc., for the provision of medical services to employees that have sustained an occupational injury.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Purchasing Division of the Department of Finance, wishes to contract with Concentra Health Services, Inc., for the provision of medical services to employees who are injured by accident arising out of and in the course of employment; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent, after consultation with the Director of Human Resources, has awarded this professional medical services contract pursuant to the provisions of the Procurement Code; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Concentra Health Services, Inc., to furnish medical services to employees injured by accident arising out and in the course of employment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That any further amendments to the contract shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
