ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-400

An ordinance authorizing the granting of a permanent easement to Piedmont Natural Gas Company on certain property owned by the Metropolitan Government (Tax Map 161-00-0 Parcel 228.00) and presently used as Seven Mile Park (Proposal No. 2013M-006ES-001).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain property in Davidson County known as 5301 Edmondson Pike (also known as Davidson County Tax Map 161-00-0 Parcel 228.00) and as shown on Exhibit A; and,

WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Co. has requested a permanent easement (Exhibit B) across said property for the purposes of installing and maintaining a natural gas line; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation has approved the granting of said easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The granting of a permanent easement to Piedmont Natural Gas Co. for the purpose of installing and maintaining a natural gas line (as described in the attached Exhibit B) is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easement and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
