ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-398

An ordinance approving an internship affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and Argosy Education Group, Inc. d/b/a Argosy University – Nashville, to provide practicum and internship experience for students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Program.

WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of Argosy University - Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, to provide practicum and internship experience for students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Program; and,

WHEREAS, Argosy University - Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, have entered into an affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to provide practicum and internship experience for students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this affiliation agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the affiliation agreement between Argosy University - Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, to provide practicum and internship experience for students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Program, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
