ORDINANCE NO. BL2013-391
An ordinance approving the Metropolitan Government to abandon approximately eight hundred thirty (830) linear feet of an existing eight (8) inch public water main and associated easements and to accept one hundred ninety six (196) linear feet of an eight (8) inch DIP public water main, public fire hydrant and an easement on property located at 4040 Armory Oaks Drive. (Proposal No. 2013M-002ES-001).
WHEREAS, the abandonment of the existing water line and easements and acceptance of the water line, fire hydrant, and easement on property located at 4040 Armory Oaks Drive are needed to construct this project; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2013M-002ES-001 on January 23, 2013, for the abandonment of said water lines and easements, and acceptance of the water line, fire hydrant, and easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government is authorized to abandon water lines and easements, and accept the water line, fire hydrant, and easement on the property located below and shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
