ORDINANCE NO. BL2012-260

An ordinance authorizing the acquisition of easements for the Hidden Hills Reservoir Abandonment Project (10-WG-0031) on properties located at 3009 Darrington Way and Chandler Road (unnumbered) (Proposal No. 2012M-019ES-001).

WHEREAS, The Hidden Hills Reservoir is to be taken out of service, for the purpose of completing a system change; and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of easements to construct a six inch (6”) water line on properties located at 3009 Darrington Way and Chandler Road (unnumbered) is necessary to complete said system change; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved the easements in mandatory referral No. 2012M-019ES-001, dated June 12, 2012.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government is authorized to acquire and accept easements located on the properties listed below and shown on Exhibit 1 which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to acquire and accept the easement acquisition and water mains authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
