ORDINANCE NO. BL2012-241
An Ordinance amending Chapter 5.04 of the Metropolitan Code to require the annual contract for services between the Metropolitan Government and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce pertaining to the Partnership 2020 program to be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Chapter 5.04 of the Code of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County shall be amended by adding the following new Section 5.04.100:
“5.04.100 Partnership 2020 contract for services.
E. No metropolitan government funds shall be disbursed to the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce for the Partnership 2020 economic development initiative unless and until a contract specifying the services to be provided, as well as a plan for providing such services, has been approved by resolution of the metropolitan council adopted by twenty-one (21) affirmative votes. Such contract approval shall be a condition precedent to the disbursement of any metropolitan government funds for the Partnership 2020 program in any given fiscal year.”
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
