ORDINANCE NO. BL2012-188

An ordinance to name the private road accessing the Townhomes of Shadow Glen, “Shadow Glen Drive” to provide better public service, particularly emergency service, to the residents of the Townhomes (Proposal No. 2012M-004SR-001).

WHEREAS, the request for the naming of the private road has been submitted by the Townhomes of Shadow Glen HOA; and

WHEREAS, the naming of the private road has been submitted to and approved by the Metropolitan Planning Commission, and other relevant agencies of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, in accordance with Metropolitan Code § 13.08.020; and

WHEREAS, said street naming is for the purpose of assisting emergency service in quickly locating property; and

WHEREAS, the community deems it appropriate that said road be named.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. Records and Maps of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, be and are hereby amended, as follows:

Naming the private road accessing the Townhomes of Shadow Glen “Shadow Glen Drive”, from Nolensville Pike westward to its terminus in the townhome development, all of which is more particularly described by lines, words and figures on the sketch which is attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance as though copied herein.

SECTION 2. The Director of the Department of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed, upon the enactment and approval of this Ordinance, to cause said change to be made, and to make notation thereon of reference to the date of passage and approval of this amendatory Ordinance.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
