ORDINANCE NO. BL2012-165

An ordinance approving an agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Nashville Soccer, LLC for the lease of premises commonly known as Ezell Park (Proposal No. 2012M-009PR-001).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is the owner of certain real property commonly known as Ezell Park (the “Property”); and,

WHEREAS, Nashville Soccer, LLC, seeks to lease the Property for the purpose of developing and maintaining a soccer complex for the play, practice and enjoyment of professional, amateur and youth soccer; and,

WHEREAS, the operation and maintenance of a soccer complex in Davidson County will continue to provide entertainment and recreational opportunities for Nashville’s citizens and visitors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Nashville Soccer, LLC, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That any new amendments to the lease agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
