ORDINANCE NO. BL2012-164

An ordinance approving a clinical affiliation agreement with Volunteer State Community College and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department’s EMS Office and Emergency Ambulance and Rescue Service, for the participation and clinical training of students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician Programs of the institution.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department’s EMS Office and Emergency Ambulance and Rescue Service, and Volunteer State Community College have entered into a clinical affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein for the participation and clinical training of students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician Programs of the institution; and,

WHEREAS, approval of the agreement will benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the clinical affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department’s EMS Office and Emergency Ambulance and Rescue Service, and Volunteer State Community College, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That any amendments to the terms of the agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
