ORDINANCE NO. BL2011-52

An ordinance approving and accepting a combined contribution in the total amount of $60,000 from Hillsboro Plaza Retail Partners III, LLC and Davis Street Land Company of Tennessee, L.L.C. toward the cost of signal improvements at the intersection of Abbott Martin Road and Hillsboro Pike in Green Hills.

WHEREAS, Hillsboro Plaza Retail Partners III, LLC and Davis Street Land Company of Tennessee, L.L.C. have requested improved signalization at the intersection of Hillsboro Pike and Abbott Martin Road; and,

WHEREAS, Hillsboro Plaza Retail Partners III, LLC has committed $30,000 toward the improved signalization; and,

WHEREAS, Davis Street Land Company of Tennessee, L.L.C. has committed $30,000 toward the improved signalization; and,

WHERAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the signalization at Abbott Martin Road and Hillsboro Pike be improved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

Section 1. That the combined contribution of $60,000 from Hillsboro Plaza Retail Partners III, LLC and Davis Street Land Company of Tennessee, L.L.C. is approved and accepted and shall be deposited in a fund designated by the Director of Finance.

Section 2. That the Department of Public Works shall use these funds for the purpose of improved signalization at Abbott Martin Road and Hillsboro Pike.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
