ORDINANCE NO. BL2011-32

An Ordinance amending Section 4.20.065 of the Metropolitan Code to require Metropolitan Government contractors to present proof of a valid business tax license before receiving payment for performance of the contract.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 4.20.065 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following provision at the end thereof:

“, and shall further present proof of a valid business tax license to the department of finance before receiving any payment from the Metropolitan Government for performance or partial performance of the contract.”

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
