ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-822
An Ordinance amending Section 2.222.020 of the Metropolitan Code to prohibit persons serving on Metropolitan Government boards or commissions from engaging in lobbying activity.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 2.222.020 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by amending subsection q. by deleting the following provision in its entirety and renumbering the remaining subsections accordingly:
“(iv) An employee who is a lobbyist registered pursuant to Chapter 2.196 of the Metropolitan Code from representing or appearing before the metropolitan council, or any board or department of the metropolitan government on behalf of the interests of the person(s) or organizations(s) for which the employee is lobbying.”
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
