ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-810
An Ordinance amending Chapter 2.196 of the Metropolitan Code to require lobbyists to file a notice of withdrawal upon the termination of lobbying services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Chapter 2.196 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following new Section 2.196.055:
2.196.055 Notice of withdrawal.
Every person registered under this chapter shall file a written notice of withdrawal with the metropolitan clerk within fourteen (14) days following the termination of a lobbying employment agreement between the lobbyist and an employer of the lobbyist. Such notice of withdrawal shall be retained by the metropolitan clerk for a period of five (5) years, and the date of withdrawal shall be noted on the Registered Lobbyist Index posted on the metropolitan clerk’s website.
Section 2. The Notice of Withdrawal required in Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be in substantially the same form as the attached Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
