ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-755

An ordinance approving a Memorandum of Understanding between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police, regarding participation in an officer injury study.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department wishes to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Association of Chiefs of Police regarding participation in an officer injury study; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed Memorandum of Understanding is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this ordinance be passed.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the International Association of Chiefs of Police, attached hereto and incorporated herein, regarding participation in an officer injury study, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
