ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-733

An ordinance declaring surplus and approving the disposition by the Director of Public Property of real property known as Walter Stokes School (Proposal No. 2010M-006PR-001).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government owns a certain parcel of property located at 3701 Belmont Boulevard, also known as Davidson County Tax Map 117-16-0, Parcel 001.00; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education has determined that said property, described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is no longer needed for school purposes; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education has transferred the subject property to the Director of Public Property; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government having declared the property surplus, the Director of Public Property is authorized to dispose of the property subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That the Metropolitan Council declares the following parcel of land owned by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Section 2. That the Director of Public Property is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property listed above.

Section 3. That the proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the unappropriated school fund of the Metropolitan Government.

Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
