ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-716
An Ordinance amending Chapters 2.62 and 13.08 of the Metropolitan Code to restrict the number of temporary road closures an applicant can be granted in a year.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 2.62.040 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following provision at the end of subsection G.:
6. No more than two special event permits requiring the closure of the same street shall be granted to any one person, organization, or business within the same calendar year if the street requested for closure has frontage for a single or two-family residence, provided that this provision shall not be applicable to public or private schools, colleges, and universities.
Section 2. That Chapter 13.08 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following new Section 13.08.080:
13.08.080 Limitation on road closures for special events.
No more than two temporary street closures shall be granted for the same street to any one person, organization, or business within the same calendar year if the street requested for closure has frontage for a single or two-family residence, provided that this provision shall not be applicable to public or private schools, colleges, and universities.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
