ORDINANCE NO. BL2010-638

An ordinance amending Chapter 15.04 and Chapter 15.60 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws relating to industrial waste discharges.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through its Department of Water and Sewerage Services, is required by state and federal regulations to develop industrial user local limits, and to adjust these limits from time to time as necessary to meet the federal and state pretreatment standards and accurately reflect the technically based numbers generated to protect the Wastewater Treatment Plant from discharge violation; and,

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation, recently reviewed these chapters of the Metropolitan Code and these limits and advised that to bring industrial waste discharges into better accord with federal and state pretreatment standards they should be revised consistent with the attached.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: Metropolitan Code of Laws Chapter 15.04 is hereby replaced in its entirety with the Chapter 15.04 attached hereto and incorporated herein.

Section 2: Metropolitan Code of Laws Chapter 15.60 is hereby replaced in its entirety with the Chapter 15.60 attached hereto and incorporated herein.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
