ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-601

An Ordinance amending Section 12.40.070 of the Metropolitan Code to allow parking on both sides of certain narrow streets in the Old Hickory area.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 12.40.070 of the Metropolitan Code shall be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following provision at the end of subsection A.:

“A. Notwithstanding the foregoing provision to the contrary, persons with a valid disabled driver license plate or placard issued pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 55-21-101, et seq., that is visibly displayed on or in the vehicle shall be entitled to park on both sides of the following streets, in either direction on the street:
1. Berry Street
2. Birdsall Street
3. Bryan Street
4. Clarke Street
5. Cleves Street
6. Debow Street
7. Dodson Street
8. Elliston Street
9. Jones Street
10. Lawrence Street
11. Overton Street”

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Amendment No. 1
To
Ordinance No. BL2010-601

Madam President:

I move to amendment Ordinance No. BL2010-601 by deleting Section 1 in its entirety and substituting with the following new Section 1:

Section 1. That Section 12.40.070 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following provision at the end of subsection A.:

“Notwithstanding the foregoing provision to the contrary, parking shall be allowed on both sides of the following streets, in either direction on the street:
1. Berry Street
2. Birdsall Street
3. Bryan Street
4. Clarke Street
5. Cleves Street
6. Debow Street
7. Dodson Street
8. Elliston Street
9. Jones Street
10. Lawrence Street
11. Overton Street”
