ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-600
An ordinance amending Chapter 7.08 of the Metropolitan Code to require that notice be sent to the district councilmember upon the filing of a Caterer’s Beer Permit, a Special Events Beer Permit, or a Temporary Beer Permit.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That Section 7.08.040 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following new subsection J.:
J. Within three business days from the date the application for a caterer’s permit, a retailer’s special events permit, or a temporary permit is filed, the executive director of the metropolitan beer permit board shall provide the district councilmember for the district where the temporary or special event is to take place, or where the caterer’s principal place of business is located, with a copy of the application, and shall allow the district councilmember five business days to submit written comments regarding possible community issues or concerns associated with the sale of beer at the proposed temporary or special event and/or by the applicant prior to the issuance of any permit.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
