ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-492

An ordinance adopting property identification maps for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, which shall be the official maps for the identification of real estate for tax assessment purposes.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has prepared property identification maps identifying all parcels of land within the area of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, which show the names of streets and public ways, in accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated Section 67-5-806, to the extent applicable to metropolitan forms of government, and Tennessee Code Annotated Section 66-24-113, and Metropolitan Code Section 5.24.010; and

WHEREAS, the original maps are on file with the Metropolitan Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, duplicates of said maps are on file with the Metropolitan Clerk; and

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the property identification maps on file with the Metropolitan Planning Commission and the Metropolitan Clerk, which are incorporated fully into this ordinance by reference as though copied herein, are hereby adopted as the official property identification maps for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, identifying the property as of January 1, 2009, and shall be the official property identification maps for the Metropolitan Government for such purposes set forth in Tennessee Code Annotated Section 67-5-806, to the extent applicable to metropolitan forms of government, and Tennessee Code Annotated Section 66-24-113, and Metropolitan Code Section 5.24.010.

Section 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
