ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-421
An ordinance approving six leases between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Juvenile Court, and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for space to be used for the Truancy Reduction Program (Proposal No. 2009M-004PR-001).
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has developed lease agreements with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to permit the Metropolitan Juvenile Court to utilize space in six MDHA facilities to conduct program activities of the Truancy Reduction Program; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these lease agreements be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That the lease agreements entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2: That any new amendments to these lease agreements shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
