ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-408
An ordinance approving a license agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Police Department, and Opryland Entertainment Company for the use of a boat ramp on the Cumberland River (Proposal No. 2009M-001OT-001).
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has developed a license agreement with the Gaylord Entertainment Company to permit the Metropolitan Police Department and other emergency services agencies to access and utilize a tract of land commonly known as the “Willams Ferry Boating Ramp” to provide said agencies access to the Cumberland River to respond to requests for emergency services; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this license agreement be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That the license agreement entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Gaylord Entertainment Company, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2: That any new amendments to this license agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

Madam President:
I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2009-408 by deleting the word “Opryland”, wherein it appears in the caption, and substituting in lieu thereof the word “Gaylord”.
