ORDINANCE NO. BL2009-376

An ordinance abandoning an 8 inch sanitary sewer line and easement in connection Project 08-SL-0072, Centennial Medical Center, shown on Map 092-11, Parcel 377.00 and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out said transaction (Proposal No. 2008M-178U-10).

WHEREAS, an 8 inch existing sanitary sewer line and accompanying easement, more particularly described in Project No. 08-SL-0072, Centennial Medical Center Abandonment, on record in the department of Water and Sewerage Services and incorporated herein by reference, are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services nor any other public utility; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral No. 2008M-178U-10 on September 29, 2008 for abandonment of said easement and sanitary sewer line.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government hereby abandons the sanitary sewer line and the easement shown on Map 092-11, Parcel 377.00, Project No. 08-SL-0072, Centennial Medical Center Abandonment as indicated on Exhibit 1 hereto, and the Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment authorized by this ordinance.

Section 2. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
