ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-337

An ordinance abandoning an 8 inch sanitary sewer line and easement and installing a manhole in connection Project 08-SL-0057, shown on Map 093-09, Parcels 293-297, 1200 Laurel Street and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out said transaction (Proposal No. 2008M-138U-9).

WHEREAS, an 8 inch existing sanitary sewer line and easement, more particularly described in Project No. 08-SL-0057, 1200 Laurel Street, on record in the department of Water and Sewerage Services and incorporated herein by reference, are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services nor any other public utility; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral No. 2008M-138U-9 on July 30, 2008 for abandonment of said sanitary sewer line and easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Government hereby abandons the 8 inch sanitary sewer line and easement and shall install a manhole shown on Map 093-09, Parcels 293-297, Project No. 08-SL-0057, 1200 Laurel Street as indicated on Exhibit 1 hereto, and the Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment authorized by this ordinance.

Section 2. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
