ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-300

An ordinance approving a contract for services by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and United Neighborhood Health Services for the administration and provision of medical services for the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, wishes to contract with United Neighborhood Health Services for the administration and provision of medical services for the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless.

WHEREAS, Privatization contracts, as established by Section 4.12.095 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, require approval by ordinance adopted by the Metropolitan Council.

WHEREAS, It is to the benefit of the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and United Neighborhood Health Services for the administration and provision of medical services for the Downtown Clinic for the Homeless, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
