ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-297

An ordinance amending Section 2.222.010 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws pertaining to the acceptance of travel accommodations, lodging, and meals associated with the attendance of conventions or conferences in furtherance of an employee’s official duties.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Section 2.222.010 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by adding the following additional exception to the definition of “anything of value” under subsection (2):

“(p) Any reasonable and necessary travel accommodations, registration fees, lodging, and meals associated with the attendance of a convention or conference when the attendance of said convention or conference is in furtherance of an employee’s official duties and is for the benefit of the Metropolitan Government.”

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
