ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-247

An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of the donation of a conservation easement from Hanover Ridge, LLC for use in the greenway system (Proposal No. 2008M-108).

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the document attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance, Hanover Ridge, LLC, has agreed to donate to the Metropolitan Government an easement ("Easement") on a certain parcel of property; and

Whereas, the easement will be used to construct, operate and maintain portions of the greenway system; and

WHEREAS, acceptance of the greenway easement and approval of the Agreement for Grant of Easement for Conservation Greenway will benefit quality of life for citizens of Davidson County by improving the availability of park and greenway space; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve the donation of said easement;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The donation of the Easement as proposed in Exhibit A is hereby accepted.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
