ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-228
An ordinance abandoning an 84” Brick-Combination Sewer Line and Easement in connection with Project 07-SL-0222, Griffin Plaza, shown on Map 093-09, Parcels 303 and 090, and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out said transaction. (Proposal No. 2008M-016U-9).
WHEREAS, an 84” existing brick-combination sewer line and accompanying easement, more particularly described in Project No. 07-SL-0222, Griffin Plaza, on record in the department of Water and Sewerage Services and incorporated herein by reference, are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services nor any other public utility; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral No. 2008M-016U-9 on February 26, 2008 for abandonment of said easement and brick-combination sewer line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government hereby abandons the 84” existing brick-combination sewer line and accompanying easement that is shown on Map 093-09, Parcels 303 and 090, Project No. 07-SL-0222, Griffin Plaza as indicated on Exhibit 1 hereto, and the Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment authorized by this ordinance.
SECTION 2: Any further amendments to this Legislation may be processed by Resolution.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
