ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-227

An ordinance approving the disposition of a certain parcel of property located at O Cockrill Bend Boulevard, by the Director of Public Property Administration held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, (Proposal No. 2008M-040U-7).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns a certain parcel of property (Exhibit A); and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Port Authority was dissolved by Resolution No. RS99-24, on October 19, 1999 transferring all rights, title and interest to The Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that said parcel of property is no longer needed for program purposes; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell said property subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Council and the Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council declares the following parcel of property defined below and shown in attached Exhibit A, owned in fee simple by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be surplus:

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to sell said property listed above in accordance with the Standard Rules and Regulations for the disposition of surplus real property.

Section 3. The proceeds from the sale of said parcel(s) of property shall be credited to the General Fund of the district from whose operating budget the last department, commission, board or agency using the real property is financed.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
