ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-223

An ordinance to amend the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by renaming a portion of Carothers Road as “Grace Point Lane” (Proposal No. 2008M-051G-12).

WHEREAS: The request for the name change has been submitted by Wood Ridge Development.

WHEREAS: Metropolitan Government deems it necessary to rename a portion of Carothers Road as
Grace Point Lane

WHEREAS: The community deems it appropriate that said name be changed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, as enacted by Bill No. 2007-77, be and is hereby amended, as follows:

Carothers Road from Battle Road to approximately 375’ east of the eastern parcel line of Parcel 36 on Davidson County Property Map 188 where it will tie into the proposed street of Grace Point Lane in Carothers Crossing Subdivision, be, and is hereby, renamed Grace Point Lane, all of which is more particularly described by lines, words and figures on the sketch which is attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance as though copied herein.

SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Director of the Department of Public Works be and is hereby authorized and directed, upon the enactment and approval of this ordinance, to cause said change to be made on said Map as set out in Section 1 of this ordinance, and to make notation thereon of reference to the date of passage and approval of this amendatory ordinance.

SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
