Amendment No. 1
To
Ordinance No. BL2008-161

Madam President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2008-161 as follows:

1. By amending Section 1 by inserting the words “by a resolution receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes” after the words “Should the Metropolitan Council approve the imposition of goals” in proposed section 4.46.110 (C).

2. By deleting Section 2 in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section 2:
“Section 2: The procurement nondiscrimination program shall be applicable to procurements commenced 120 days following the enactment of this ordinance, or upon the earlier certification by the Director of Finance to the Metropolitan Council that the offices and processes contemplated by this ordinance have been established.”

3. By adding the following new Section 3:

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
