ORDINANCE NO. BL2008-151

An Ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, by amending Section 17.04.060 to modify the definition of “family” to include a group of not more than eight unrelated elderly persons living together as a single housekeeping unit, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2008Z-011T).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the codification of Title 17 of the Code of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Zoning Regulations, be and the same is hereby amended by amending section 17.04.060.B. by amending the definition of “Family” by adding the following provision at the end thereof:

“3. A group of not more than eight unrelated persons over the age of sixty-five, including two additional persons acting as houseparents or guardians, living together as a single housekeeping unit.”

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
