An ordinance authorizing the acquisition of easements for use in public projects of the Metropolitan Government in Williamson County (Proposal No. 2006M-238).

WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the easements be acquired for sanitary sewers, grinder pumps and/or appurtenances (the “Project”) within the area designated for the construction and operation of Project No. 06-SL-0157, 6713 Quiet Lane, and said project has been authorized under Capital Improvements Budget No. 01SG0002; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the documents collectively attached as Exhibit 1, certain easements have been offered to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for use in connection with the Project;

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this acquisition on December 13, 2006.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Director of Public Property Administration, is hereby authorized to accept the easements shown in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and incorporated herein, for use in connection with the Project.

Section 2. The easements shall be filed in the Office of the Register of Deeds.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
