ORDINANCE NO. BL2007-1462

An ordinance accepting a donation of surveillance camera equipment to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by The Community Foundation for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

WHEREAS, The Community Foundation wishes to donate surveillance camera equipment valued at $49,701 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department; and,

WHEREAS, a copy of the agreement regarding the donation is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of surveillance camera equipment by The Community Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is authorized to accept the surveillance camera equipment for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
