ORDINANCE NO. BL2007-1401

An Ordinance amending Section 16.24.330 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to the parking and storage of antique motor vehicles. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1.  That Section 16.24.330 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by amending subsection K. by adding the following provision at the end thereof:

“5.  Antique motor vehicles.  Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, no antique motor vehicles may be parked or stored on residentially-zoned property except in accordance with the following requirements:
                                                 
a. The antique motor vehicle must be in an operable condition and have a valid antique registration and license plate displayed on the vehicle.
b. Any antique motor vehicle openly stored on any premises within the area of the metropolitan government must contain an engine, radiator, hood, all doors, trunk lid, bumpers, fenders, four wheels with inflated tires, all windows in operable condition, both front and rear windshields, and a complete exhaust system.
For purposes of this subsection, “antique motor vehicle” means every motor vehicle over twenty-five (25) years of age.”       

Section 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect from and after is enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
