ORDINANCE NO. BL2007-1317
An Ordinance amending Chapter 5.04 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to require the Mayor to notify the Council upon making any multi-year agreements or commitments for funding to nonprofit organizations.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. Chapter 5.04 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws is hereby amended by adding the following new section 5.04.080:
"5.04.080. Notice to council of multi-year funding commitments.
The mayor shall notify the metropolitan council in writing within thirty (30) days of making any commitment, or entering into any formal or informal agreement, for providing metropolitan government funds to a nonprofit organization on a multi-year basis."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
