ORDINANCE NO. BL2006-942
An ordinance abandoning a 18" water line and easement that will be replaced by a 18" water line and easement, that is shown on Map 104-02, Parcels 057.00 and 058.00, Project 05-WL-0022, Graymont Park Abandonment and Relocation, and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out the abandonment. (Proposal No. 2005M-141U-10).
WHEREAS, a 18" existing water line and accompanying easement, more particularly described in Project No. 05-WL-0022, Graymont Park, on record in the department of Water and Sewerage Services and incorporated herein by reference, are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services nor any other public utility; and
WHEREAS, a water line of equal size will be replacing the existing 18" water line and easement; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral No. 2005M-141U-10 on August 18, 2005 for abandonment of said easement and water line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government hereby abandons the 18"water line and the easement shown on Map 104-02, Parcel 057.00 and 058.00, Project No. 05-WL-0022, Graymont Park as indicated on Exhibit 1 hereto, and the Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment authorized by this ordinance.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
