An ordinance abandoning an 8 inch sanitary sewer line and easement that will be converted to a private sanitary sewer line, that is shown on Map 081-08, Parcel 109.00, Project 05-SG-88, Jones Paideia, and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out the abandonment (Proposal No. 2005M-134U-08).

WHEREAS, an 8 inch existing sanitary sewer line and accompanying easement, more particularly described in Project No. 05-SG-88, Jones Paideia, on record in the department of Water and Sewerage Services and incorporated herein by reference, are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services nor any other public utility; and

WHEREAS, the 8 inch sanitary sewer line and easement will be converted over to a private line; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral No. 2005M-134U-08 on August 18, 2005 for abandonment of said easement and sanitary sewer line.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government hereby abandons the 8 inch sanitary sewer line and the easement shown on Map 081-08, Parcel 109.00, Project No. 05-SG-88, Jones Paideia as indicated on Exhibit 1 hereto, and the Director of Water and Sewerage Services and the Director of Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment authorized by this ordinance.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
