ORDINANCE NO. BL2006-1268

An ordinance accepting a contribution to the Metropolitan Government from Dr. Chris Pardue in the amount of $80,000 for traffic infrastructure improvements in the area of Dobson Chapel Road and Central Pike.

WHEREAS, Dr. Chris Pardue has developed land near the intersection of Dobson Chapel Road and Central Pike; and,

WHEREAS, said development increased the need for certain traffic infrastructure improvements at Dobson Chapel Road and Central Pike; and,

WHEREAS, in acknowledgement of the foregoing, Dr. Chris Pardue has offered a contribution in the amount of $80,000 to the Metropolitan Government, $8,500 of which has been set aside for engineering services provided by the developer, and the remaining $71,500 for construction cost of said infrastructure improvements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

Section 1. That the contribution of $80,000 which includes $8,500 for engineering services, provided by the developer, and $71,500 for construction cost of traffic infrastructure improvements from Dr. Chris Pardue is hereby approved and accepted, and shall be deposited in a fund designated by the Director of Finance.

Section 2. That the Department of Public Works shall use these funds for the purposes of traffic infrastructure improvements at Dobson Chapel Road and Central Pike.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
