ORDINANCE NO. BL2006-1189
An ordinance accepting the donation of horses by the names of "Society's Red Bear" and "Armed SG's Boy Scout" for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department.
WHEREAS, Joe and Emily Siciensky wish to donate a Tennessee Walking Horse by the name of "Society's Red Bear" to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Harlan and Eva Knight wish to donate a Tennessee Walking Horse by the name of "Armed SG's Boy Scout" to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, copies of the agreements regarding such donations are attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that these donations be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the donation of a horse by the name of "Society's Red Bear" by Joe and Emily Siciensky to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same, and the Metropolitan Police Department is authorized to accept the horse for its use and benefit.
Section 2. That the donation of a horse by the name of "Armed SG's Boy Scout" by Harlen and Eva Knight to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized the execute the same, and the Metropolitan Police Department is authorized to accept the horse for its use and benefit.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
