ORDINANCE NO. BL2006-1119

An ordinance authorizing the acquisition of property by negotiation or condemnation for the purpose of acquiring a sanitary sewer easement for use in public projects of the Metropolitan Government, initially with relation to a 3 inch Force Main for Project No. 91-SC-20F3, Lakeshore Drive at Old Hickory Lake (Proposal No. 2005M-149G-14).

WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that an easement be acquired to permit the constructing, maintaining, and operating of a sanitary sewer and/or appurtenances within the area designated for the construction of Project No. 91-SC-20F3, Lakeshore Drive at Old Hickory Lake.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Director of Public Property Administration, or his designee, is hereby authorized to acquire by negotiation or condemnation the following described easement for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating a sanitary sewer and/or appurtenances, the initial such project being Project No. 91-SC-20F3, Lakeshore Drive at Old Hickory Lake, the same being for a public purpose and the public convenience requiring it.

SECTION 2. The easement to be acquired is shown on the plans for Project No. 91-SC-20F3, Lakeshore Drive at Old Hickory Lake, on record in the Office of the Director of the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, and incorporated herein, and a list of the easement number, property address, and map and parcel number is attached hereto and incorporated herein.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
