ORDINANCE NO. BL2006-1100
An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to participate with The Jones Company, to provide public sewer service in Williamson County to Nolen Park Subdivision, Project No. 05-SL-56.
WHEREAS, The Jones Company has expressed a desire to provide public sewer service in Williamson County, Tennessee, to a development known as Nolen Park Subdivision Project No. 05-SL-56; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Department of Water and Sewerage Services, has built the Mill Creek Trunk Sewer to Nolensville, Project No. 98-SG-13 anticipating participation from developers at $2,000.00 per connection towards the cost of the Project; and
WHEREAS, this Project is deemed to benefit both parties and the general community, and The Jones Company, agrees to pay an amount not to exceed $148,000 for a total of 74 single-family home connections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.
SECTION 1. The participation agreement with The Jones Company, to provide public sewer services in Williamson County, Tennessee, known as Nolen Park Subdivision, Project No. 05-SL-56, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Director of Water and Sewer Services is authorized to execute the same.
SECTION 2. That the $148,000 from The Jones Company will be deposited as a contribution-in-aid of construction in Water and Sewer Extension and Replacement Fund No.47335.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
